REGAL TRUMPET LILY FLOWER BULBS HARDY 4-6 FT. TALL GIANT FRAGRANT BLOOMS SUMMER
Regal Trumpet Lily
Lilium regale, commonly called regal lily, is a trumpet-type lily which is native to the western part of Sichuan Province in southwestern China. It was introduced to England in 1903 by Ernest Henry Wilson. It typically grows 3-5' tall (sometimes to 6' when well established) on rigid stems. It features large, outward-facing, fragrant, white trumpets (6-8" long) with a yellow throat, flushed purple outside. Flowers bloom in early to mid-summer. Each stem typically carries up to 25 flowers. Long-lasting fresh cut flower.
Regale belongs to a group of Trumpet/Aurelian hybrids which generally bloom after Asiatic lilies and before Oriental Lilies. They are the least shade tolerant of the lilies. The unsurpassed grace and beauty of this lily makes it a lovely addition to the garden. Lilies love full sun but will do well in partial shade. They tolerate hot summer days, as long as the bulbs are deep enough to remain cool. Lower plants surrounding the lilies will help protect their roots from drying out. Lilies make an excellent cut flower with long-lasting blooms and buds that continue to mature and open after cutting.
I am offering mature, flowering size bulbs 14/16cm in circumference. Each bulb will flower in your garden this year and will increase for many more years to come.
